Throughout the first season, we followed Frank as he dealt with various crises that threatened his power, or worse, his ego. One of the major story arcs throughout the first season was the plight (and boy was it a plight) of hapless US Representative Peter Russo, whom reluctantly agrees to run for Governor of Pennsylvania under the tutalge of Frank. As we learn, getting ensnared in Frank Underwood’s web is a big mistake for anyone who isn’t Frank Underwood. Russo has alcohol and drug problems, which only get worse under the pressures of running for Governor. In a moment of weakness, Russo gets loaded and becomes the laughing stock of the country. His campaign in tatters, he further slides down the slope towards a full-on relapse. Guess who saw that coming?

We are all familiar with the term “remake” when applied to movies. Heck, we live in an age of cinema where that seems to be all they make anymore! Sometimes, though, remakes will slip under the radar. They don’t advertise themselves as such and, because of clever changes to the story, we virtually have no idea this movie already existed.
Max Level Geek got to thinking about this, and we decided to compile a list. So here it is, 5 remakes we think you’ve probably never heard of:
If you’ve only seen The Avengers on the big screen you could be forgiven for assuming that the cast in the movie are the biggest heroes in the super group, but that isn’t exactly the case. Other heroes like Spider-Man and Wolverine are also major players in the comics. Both of those guys already have movies, so why aren’t they featured in The Avengers movies?

Issue 28 has the Corps continuing its search for a Durlan named Daggle. A former Green Lantern, Daggle is seen as the o`ne man who can help the Corps in their war against the Durlans. But does he want to help?
Van Jensen is finally going solo with Green Lantern Corps. His previous issues on Corps have all been co-plotted with Robert Venditti. Jensen takes full hold of this book with issue 28 and he delivers another fine outing!
A superfan made a supercut and it is amazing. Stan Lee is well known for making appearances in every Marvel project (including a recent episode of TV’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.). Someone with the superpower of “way too much time on their hands” put together every one of those cameos into one long supercut.
It’s a fun little nod to the creator of many of Marvel’s best known heroes and the most well-known face in comics, but it also has some creepy implications if you realize that all Marvel movies are supposed to technically take place in the same universe. Who is this creepy old man who happens to be at the heart of every major superhero incident of the last few decades. In the Marvel universe, if you see a guy who looks like Stan Lee walk into a room, things are about to get very, very interesting.

You know what really grinds my gears? When live action movies date themselves, horribly, by using an abundance of computer generated imagery (CGI).
What I mean by “dating” is when live action films make obvious to the viewer the era in which they were released. When you go back and watch films like this, it’s as if they jump up and scream out to you what year they were made (I’m looking at you Mummy Returns!). I mean, sure, in a sense all films are dated. But the films which I intend to describe are ones which go out of their way to do so.
At the end of the last episode Marty and Rust caught a break in the case, getting info on Reggie Ledoux “the monster” who we see here just before the end credits, leaving us chomping at the bit for 2 whole weeks due to the Super Bowl.
Episode 4 begins with their break connecting Ledoux back to Charlie Lange as an old cell mate. They quickly return to the prison where they’d interviewed Lange before about his dead ex Dora, and begin to press him for more answers. Lange, feeling no connection to Ledoux , quickly spills some dark info. Saying Ledoux often talked about “rich devil worshipers down south who sacrificed women and children”, and also mentions “The Yellow King of Carcosa”.
Well The Walking Dead has finally returned from its winter hiatus and things couldn’t be more hopeless for our ragtag group. Max Level Geek is loving the new season and we are dying to hear what you think. As always, there are about a million questions left to be answered, but let’s take a look at some of the things that were revealed in Episode 9.
The prison has been compromised (Thanks “Brian.”), the group is scattered and on the run, and no one knows who lived and who died. In the chaos, we find our first few survivors: Michonne, Carl, and Rick.
