With news of Channing Tatum potentially playing Remy Lebeau in a Gambit solo movie, we chose to highlight the character by looking at some recent comic books. Consider this the day of Gambit, Part II!
Nothing has been confirmed about this movie officially, but we decided to take a look at some Gambit comics anyway. Specifically, we chose to look at the most recent run by writer James Asmus and main artist Clay Mann.
Marvel releases its newest superhero title, New Warriors. A group of young adult and teen heroes that have been around since the 80’s. Meet the new lineup: Nova, Scarlet Spider, Hummingbird, Speedball, Justice, Sun-Girl, Water Snake and Haechi.
How fitting that Scarlet Spider writer, Chris Yost, would take up this new title after the cancellation of the former. At least here he gets to continue developing Kaine, if only to share the spotlight.
You probably aren’t too familiar with the superhero Ant-Man. You might know, however, that Marvel Studios plans to release an Ant-Man film in Jul 2015, soon after Avengers 2. This would mean Ant-Man is the hero to kick off Marvel’s Phase 3. That’s a lot of pressure, considering hardly anyone knows about the character.
I’m sure you could guess why he’s called Ant-Man – obviously has something to do with ants right? Well if that’s your first thought, you wouldn’t be wrong. But there’s more to the character than meets the eye. For instance, were you aware that there has actually been 3 Ant-Men in the past? The film features 2 of them, Hank Pym and Scott Lang, played by Michael Douglas and Paul Rudd respectively. Also, did you know that in the comics Ant-Man creates the villain Ultron, after which Avengers 2: Age of Ultron is named?
In a one hour span, this weeks episode “The Secret Fate of All Life”, reached the depths of a power house film. The benefit of a 4 episode build, and some brilliant writing by Nic Pizzolatto.
In the last episode Marty and Rust’s “off book” investigation came to a boiling point, when for the sake of a lead on Ledoux, Rust was dragged into an armed robbery by his old biker contact Ginger. The ill planned robbery quickly slips into chaos and the episode ends with Rust pulling Ginger out of damnation, in a 6 minute ‘one shot’ that is sure to be studied by film students for years to come.

In the greatest advancement in human technology since power sliced bread, Nike designer Tinker Hatfield (yes, that’s a real name) says that by 2015 the power laces featured in Back To The Future II will be a reality.
If you aren’t familiar with the Nike Air MAG which Marty McFly wears in the film, they are futuristic shoes that look comfortable as hell and also lace themselves up at the push of the button. If you aren’t familiar with Back To The Future more generally then get out, we don’t want you here!

It’s everyone’s worst nightmare; you awake to find your room filling with smoke and a fire out-of-control in your home. A Kansas man discovered just that on Friday morning. Luckily, he managed to escape the inferno safely. Unfortunately, to his horror, he realized that his Xbox 360 was still inside, presumably clawing frantically at the window to escape the oppressive heat and smoke.
This Kansas man decided the best course of action was to rush back into the still very much on fire house and rescue his beloved gaming console. After escaping his burning house for the second time, this time with the Xbox in hand, he finally called the fire department.

Last episode ended, hinting that Bates possibly knew about Mr. Green’s assault on Anna. In this episode, Bates takes a day off and the next day we find out Mr. Green bit the dust. He presumably fell into oncoming traffic. When Anna tries to get an answer from Bates, he says he only does things deserving of doing (whatever that means). We don’t know for sure, but we always thought of Bates as a thug. So, yeah, he probably did it. Get your swag on boy!

Director Rob Letterman (Gulliver’s Travels, Monsters vs Aliens) has signed on, as has his perennial favorite actor, Jack Black. The two have already collaborated in “Gulliver’s Travels” and “Shark Tale”
According to TheWrap, Black will be playing an “R.L. Stine-like” author whose scary characters come to life, forcing him to “hide from his own creepy creations.” That sounds like a Goosebumps story, if there ever was one.
